Dr. Rojina Shilpakar

Dr. Rojina Shilpakar epitomizes excellence in the medical field, combining academic achievement with a dedication to healthcare advancement. Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Science and Technology, Chittagong, and a Master’s degree in General Surgery from Harbin Medical University, her expertise spans acute burns, trauma, and general surgery. Dr. Shilpakar’s leadership abilities shine through her completion of the Leadership in Medicine for South East Asia Certificate Course at Harvard Medical University. She brings this expertise to her roles as Deputy Medical Director and Consultant General Surgeon at Sushma Koirala Memorial Hospital, where she plays a pivotal role in healthcare delivery.
Dr. Shilpakar is also the South Asia region’s Clinical Lead for Interburns UK overseeing trainings of health professionals at different levels for prevention and treatments of burns. Beyond her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Shilpakar is engaged in social and research activities, notably as a member of the World Health Organization Guideline Development Group on Mass Burns Incident.
