Sujata Shakya
Sujata Shakya, a dedicated academician and researcher, has carved an impressive path in health sciences. With a Master’s in Public Health from BPKIHS, Dharan, and her near completion of a Ph.D. program at Tampere University, she stands on the brink of a significant milestone in her academic journey.
Throughout her career, Sujata has been instrumental in conducting groundbreaking research, exploring critical issues such as hypertension among adolescents and public responses to COVID-19 in Nepal, garnering global attention for her contributions.
As an Assistant Professor in the Central Department of Public Health at Tribhuvan University Institute of Medicine since December 2015, Sujata has played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. Her mentorship extends beyond academia, as she has guided nursing professionals at prestigious institutions like Manipal College of Medical Sciences and Nepalese Army Institute of Health Sciences.
